Research Synopsis

In my PhD, I develop novel high-​throughput screening platforms for directed evolution and rational forward design of proteases. Unlike other platforms available to date, the methods I develop address several hitherto unmet needs and have the potential to greatly advance protease development for industrial and medical applications. To achieve this, I combine state-​of-the-art synthetic biology and high-​throughput technologies such as microfluidic droplets and next-​generation sequencing.
